11.Depth relations between Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Morocco

  • Relations between Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Morocco are very deep and have characterized the continuing process of cooperation and harmony between the two countries.

  • The strong and strategic relationships between the two countries which are represented in their solid choices in their foreign policy and active participation in international and Islamic organizations, especially during the era of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his brother His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco, where bonds of brotherhood are deepen between the two countries and their people, thus, opening the way for the development of Saudi investments in Morocco.

  • Trade exchange between the two countries is good.

  • The total Saudi investments in Morocco has reached about one billion and a half billion Moroccan dirhams, mostly in the real estate sector, stressing that the work to create the investment climate in Morocco will be an important factor to pay more attention to particularly that the changes that have taken place in some Arab countries recently have demonstrated that Morocco is a stable and secured country as is the Kingdome of Saudi Arabia where the leaders and people of the two countries believe that security and stability and continuous development is what creates the advancement and progress of the nation as a whole.

10. 800 years relationship between Morocco and UK

In the beginning of the 13th century, King John of England (1167–1216) sent an embassy to the Almohad Sultan Muhammad Al-Nasir of Morocco (1199–1213), requesting military support and an alliance against France country. At home, King John was faced with a dire situation, in which his Barons revolted against him, he had been excommunicated by the Pope, and France was threatening to invade. The embassy of three was led by Bishop Roger, and King John supposedly offered to convert to Islam and pay a tribute to Al-Nasir in exchange for his help. Al-Nasir apparently dismissed the proposal.

9. One of the most beautiful cities in Morocco: Ifrane


Ifrane is a very nice city "town" in the Middle Atlas of Morocco. It is situated in the north center of Morocco. The word, "ifran" means caves. The first permanent settlement of the area dates to the 16th century. The average altitude is about 1,665 metres (5,460 ft). Because of its elevation, during the winter months, it snows. Ifrane is also the place where the lowest temperature was ever recorded in all Africa continent: -24 °C (was recorded in 1935). During the summer, a cool climate is experienced in Ifrane. The population of this nice small city in Morocco is about 13,000 (December 2008). Tamazight is the regional language for people in Ifrane but almost people there talk too Arabic and also talk French language. You will find many who talk English language.

Really, Its air is very clean, if you like to rest after long period of working in your office and stress in your big city. I can advise you to take some days and relax at Ifrane city. In Summer, many people from different part of Morocco like to spend their holidays and enjoy time with their families in this beautiful town. Many people too like to visit it in winter as land is covered by snow and some they like to ski in Jbel Hebri "Michlifen" Mountain (2,000m). Indeed, it is a very wonderful landscape which I am sure that everyone saw it liked it much. Who never visit this town wish a day doing it.

If you plan to make a trip to Ifrane city, let me give you some informations which are very necessary for you:

The best way to arrive to Ifrane is:
    • Book plane to Fez airport "Morocco".
    • When your plane arrive to Fez airport, you need to take a taxi "Grand Taxi" from Fez airport to Taxi station. It costs around 100 Dh.
    • When you arrive to taxi stations "Grand Taxi", ask about Taxi which takes to Ifrane.
    • Your journey from Fez to Ifrane is one hour.
When you arrive to Ifrane station you will find in the same place Green taxi "Petit Taxi" and you can ask the driver to take you to the near hotel.

The nice places to visit:
  • Source Vitel is very nice wonderful beautiful place in Ifrane city with a  series of waterfalls, some of which are found inside the forests of Ifrane and others ones, which you should take a taxi to visit them. Really, it is a amazing place which everyone saw it like it much and visit it again and again.
 





  • Al Akhawayn University is a very nice university and the only one in Morocco which studies are with English language. You can request special permission from the faculty to visit it.

  • Centre-ville, the newer part of the city. Here, you can find the center for tourism, the iconic Lion statue that many tourists from inside or outside Morocco like to take pictures next to it. There are also a very nice lake and park which are near to the university, and too a number of restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores.

  • Marché is opened every day and where everybody can buy his/her supplies: vegetables, fruits meat and breads... There are also many restaurants which make nice Moroccan food with varying price.

Nice journey


If you plan to pass nice journey it is better to think of Morocco and I will give you some informations which you will find them very useful for you.
  1. Climate: Morocco has two climatic zones. (1.) a Mediterranean climate in the north and central areas, (2.) A semi-arid climate which is predominant in the pre-Sahara region.
  2. Ethnolinguistics group: Berber and Arabs.
  3. Food: the famous food in Morocco are Couscous, Tajin and Pastilla.
  4. Drink: the famous drink in Morocco is Tea. In breakfast, or in the afternoon, Morocco people take tea.  
  5. Traditional clothing: Moroccan dresses for women are Kaftan -Takchita - djellaba and Jewelry. For men, they are djellaba and Gandora.
  6. Nice places to visit:
  • Hassan II Mosque is the biggest mosque on the African continent.
  • Jebel Toubkal, situated in the High Atlas Mountains, is North Africa's highest peak at 4,167m (13,667 ft).
  • Chefchaouen is a small town in a big landscape. It is situated in the Rif mountains.
  • In the south of Morocco: the nice place which almost people like to visit is Merzouga (Merzouga Center, Merzouga Dunes, Merzouga Desert, Street in Merzouga).
  • Meknes was the capital of Morocco under the reign of Moulay Ismail (1672–1727).
  • Rabat city “capital of Morocco” was founded in the twelfth century by the Almohad ruler.
  • Essaouira lies on the Atlantic coast west of Morocco. Originally a Phoenician trading post, it prospered during the Roman era .
  • Marrakesh: High Atlas Mountains, Koutoubia Mosque and food stalls in the atmospheric Djemma El Fna...

3. Climate

Morocco has two climatic zones (1.) a Mediterranean climate in the north and central areas, (2.) A semi-arid climate which is predominant in the pre-Sahara region.
 
 

2. History and religion


 
  • The territory corresponding to Morocco was inhabited by Berbers since at least 5000 years ago.
  • Islam was first brought to Morocco in 680 by an Arab invasion under Uqba ibn Nafi, who was a general serving under the Umayyada of Damascus.
  • The country was first unified by the Idriss I in 789.
  • In 1912, France and Spain divided Morocco into a French and Spanish protectorate.
  • In 1956, Morocco gained independence from France and Spain as the “Kingdom of Morocco”.
  • About 99% are Sunni Muslims and there are only about 5,000 Jews in the country.

 

1. Flag/Situation/Surface and population



  • The Morocco flag was officially adopted on November 17, 1915.
  • The flag's deep red colour is symbolic of the descendents of the prophet Muhammad (SWS), and the Seal of Solomon green star is centred.
 
  • Morocco, officially the Kingdom of Morocco, is a country located in North Africa. It has a population of over 32 million and an area of 446,550 km².
